Story: Matters of Honor

Picking up not too long after Season 2 left off, Babylon 5’s third season begins with a nice episode that mixes some good meaty story stuff (that both catches up the viewer to the current state of things while simultaneously setting up new storylines for the season), some decent action stuff (featuring some of the best CG this show has had to date), and some decent character growth/additions.
Marcus Cole, a Ranger, comes to Babylon 5 in search of help from Delenn and Sheridan. Essentially they need to rescue some Rangers, and it is really just an excuse to show off a new ship the Minbari and Rangers have made for Sheridan and Co. I’m not complaining that this is really just an excuse to show it off, because it’s quite nice that they showed off that this new ship, The White Star, may actually have a chance at being an effective tool in the coming Shadow War.
Londo attempts to break ties with Mr. Morden and the Shadows, Morden allows this, but arranges with Lord Refa on Centauri Prime to take a certain strategic planet that the Shadows have a deep interest in. Chances are things will backfire for the Centauri soon...hell probably for everybody.
Meanwhile an investigator from Earth comes to the station to see what anyone might now about the video sent from the destroyed starfury at the end of the previous season, in which a Shadow is seen destroying the Earth vessel. No one can give any real info that seems substantial, and the investigator returns to Earht and gives his report...and after he leaves we learn that EarthGov, PsiCorp, and Mr. Morden seem to be collaborating together. Scary stuff is afoot.
