Garibaldi on Mars

Story: The Exercise of Vital Powers
Written By: J. Michael Straczynski
Season: 4

Garibaldi makes it to Mars, which he left for at the end of the previous episode.  Still brainwashed by the PsiCorps to hate Sheridan and turn against everything they’ve worked for,the episode has narration by Garibaldi in which he pretty much says stuff Garibaldi wouldn’t say.  Things like he can’t believe that Sheridan would bring War to Earth and on Clark. Yeah only someone brainwashed would think the total opposite of what he genuinely work towards for a few years.
Anyhow he has come to Mars to meet his new employer face to face.  William Edgars is a rich old man who married the love of Garibaldi’s life and is now employing Garibaldi to help him in his own little war against telepaths.  He plans on wiping them out by disease or something. Part of his plan needs Sheridan to cool it, because if Clark is too paranoid he might give the telepaths and PsiCorps too much power, and he can’t have that.  Edgars asks Garibaldi to do something he is still fighting despite his brainwashing, to get Sheridan in the hands of Clark...and to do so by way of capturing Sheridan’s father.  Garibaldi agrees.  He may be lost for good now.

With the rest of the gang Earth Alliance ships keep defecting to Sheridan’s side, and their fleet is growing.  Sheridan keeps bugging Franklin about those frozen telepaths from the whole Shadow Ship business, and Franklin finally gets some results with the help of Lyta.  Franklin is still irritated by Sheridan’s constant nagging so asks him to cough up what is so important. The idea rattle Franklin, but he knows it is the only way.  He and Lyta and the telepaths are to pack up and head to Mars for some reason.  The idea is not yet known to us, the audience.

Good episode with some creepy stuff with Edgars.  Curious to see where both this and the frozen telepath story lead.
