Sheridan Kidnapped

Story: All Alone in the Night
Written By: J. Michael Straczynski
Season: 2

While doing a little mission because he just needs out of the station (as far as I can tell) Sheridan gets kidnapped by some aliens who want to probe him and study him and have him fight against some other aliens they have captured.  This is a fairly unnecessary action episode that is fine on it's own but doesn't do much to the major arcs going on, until the bitter end.
In fact even the bit at the end that seemed to have longer implications was pretty disconnected to the main kidnapped storyline.  When Sheridan gets back his friend asks him to take part in a plan to help prove that President Clark had a hand in the assassination of President Santiago in order to gain control, and to try and take on the PsiCorps who seem to be running Earth in some ways.  Sheridan then tasks his command staff with helping with this secret plan.  Should be interesting stuff ahead.

The Delenn storyline involves her being cast out of the Grey Council for her change in appearance and their perceived change of her heart.  She doesn't believe she she has changed, but the cast her out and then replace her with someone of the Warrior caste, giving the warrior caste much more power than before, which frightens Delenn.  Again, set-up for future events I'm sure.

The Sheridan captured thing feels pedestrian until the weird dream sequence, which could be some kind of ethereal set-up for something.  The fact that after "The Coming of Shadows" we have reverted back to more set-up for more stuff later feels a bit of a letdown.  I'd like it if this show really started to advance the plot rather than foreshadow the plot to come.  I know it is going to start to continuously move at some point, but I thought we had got there with "The Coming of Shadows", and it seems there is still more to foreshadow, give premonitions of, and set-up.
