Story: Revelations

Season: 2
This is a nice episode that gives us a bit more development on Sheridan, and continues the story arc with G’Kar and the growing conflict with the mysterious enemies. I definitely think that the A/B-plot problem of the previous season has been fixed, because while their is still a main focus and a secondary focus, the show seems to be giving more time to characters outside the bigger stories. I think dramas like this need to remember to give time to most characters just to keep their stories alive. Just a little moment or two is needed.
We learn via the visit of Sheridan’s sister that he had a wife who died a few years back, and he is still struggling with his guilt and grief over it. It was a nice character story and it is protrayed well by Boxleitner.
A lot happened this episode, which is a good sign that the style of the show had truly taken shape, and wasn’t just sticking to the long used format of TNG and other modern Trek shows. Garibaldi comes out of his coma due to Franklin using that healing machine from “Quality of Mercy”, G’Kar has discovered that a terrible and powerful enemy may be out there destroying Narn troops, and Delenn comes out of the coon, transformed into some kind of Minbari/Human hybrid to help with the relations between Humans and Minbari (much like Sinclair going to live on their world).
It is a heavy plot episode, but it also manages to slow down for character growth. The show is keeping it’s momentum and I’m quite pleased with it at this point.
