Story: Grail
Written By: Christy Marx
Season: 1
A man comes to Babylon 5 in his continuing search for the Holy Grail, which he has devoted his life to, and after traveling the Earth with no results, he has come to space to see if Jesus might’ve dropped it on his way to Heaven or something. On the ship he takes a petty theif called Jinxo under his wing. Jinxo used to be an engineer who designed the Babylon Stations...the first and second Babylons were sabotaged, the third blew up before it had been finished, and the 4th vanished without a trace...Jinxo blames himself as all events happened after he left the station...so now he refuses to leave to keep the same thing from happening again, and he has fallen on some hard times.
This is a decent enough episode, but it kind of has little to do with any major arcs (beyond things we already knew about the other Babylon stations) and focuses a lot more on these guest characters than any of the major players. Not really a bad thing, but it just feels like so many characters from the main cast have gotten lost in the shuffle at this point.
